My name is Johnny Mhar.
I bring years of experience navigating legal complexities from the perspective of an entrepreneur. From managing risk to negotiating tough contracts, resolving disputes and making critical decisions with real financial consequences.
My core commercial competences encompass finance, accounting and all manner of property deals. It goes without saying that a detailed knowledge of the law and legal procedures has allowed me to be a "litigant in person" on many occasions be it as the claimant or the defendant.
I’ve built and managed businesses, handled property investments, and worked through issues many owners dread: from unpaid debts and contentious lease terms to insolvency, corporate restructure, HMRC threat and litigation risk.

CASE STUDIES
CONTENTIOUS PROBATE Mrs. A, the wife of the deceased, was a joint executor and trustee of the estate and wanted to sympathetically execute the will. The other executor was obstructive and agenda driven. We jointly agreed that removal of the antagonist would be a viable option and very experienced firm solicitors were appointed. My client had the will executed, protected her inheritance and was extremely relieved.
BANKRUPTCY Mr. P, a very successful property developer had a string of bad luck; first a contractor went bust with hundreds of thousands of pounds of my client's borrowed money. Then the bank made attempts to repossess my client's home. Last but not least my client was stricken by Covid. First, we managed to restructure the finance to protect the family home. Then after some years we took a commercial view that the business could not be saved due to debtor pressure and when Covid hit, liquidation and bankruptcy were the only options. Needless to say, my client has bounced back.
DIVORCE Mrs. R, persevered with a dysfunctional marriage for many years. When she came to the realisation that divorce was inevitable she instructed a family lawyer. However, Mrs. R wanted professional support and guidance especially around the contentious topic of dividing finances. By being a professional yet sympathetic "sounding board" and helping to analyse the finances, Mrs. R got the divorce and a satisfactory financial outcome.
DEBT COLLECTION Mr. P, a telecommunications service provider signed a client to a 24 month contract. After 12 months Mr. P's client decide not to fulfil the other 12 months and cancelled the payments. We looked at the signed contracts and successfully issued proceedings through the small claims court.
PROPERTY PURCHASE Mr. O, a Lawyer, grew his firm over a number of years by taking more and more space in serviced offices. It came apparent that the purchase of a dedicated office would be viable. Mr. O found his dream office but knew nothing about property and finance. We arranged the survey, the financial feasibility, appointed and negotiated with contractors and helped raise the finance.
BOARD RE-SHUFFLE Mr. M was the principal shareholder of a CMC. He was concerned that they had a lot of pipeline business but they were soon to run out of working capital. We looked at the company structure and advised that by buying out the other shareholders, he could reduce the wage bill and protect the pipeline business. We assisted in raising the finance and the business was sustainable.
